Soups & Suppers :: Who We Are

Cirilo Perez and Justin Sheridan have both spent the better part of
their lives working with food. In 1994, they worked together at
Hyde Park Bar and Grill as cooks.

Justin moved on to San Francisco in 1995 to attend The California
Culinary Academy and Cirilo stayed with Hyde Park for the next
ten years. Justin worked with the famed Jeremiah Towers at Stars
Restaurant in San Francisco and went on to become a personal
chef, travelling the country serving caviar and fois gras to
billionaires. Cirilo started a family, raised two beautiful
daughters, Lupita and Noellia, and kept his lovely wife Maria
happy in their home.

In 2004 Justin came back to Austin for a lot of reasons but
essentially because he feels life here is the best. He and Cirilo
began working together again for a local soup company and over
next few years produced hundreds of thousands of delicious meals.
They also dreamed of starting their own business one day.

Following Cirilo and Maria's suggestion, the duo formed Lupita's
Catering in 2009 and are slowly nurturing it to this day. Soups and
Suppers is their newest venture. With it they hope to offer their
best creations and collaborations, taking their combined 40 plus
years of experience with food to build a business that will provide
a brilliant future for them and their families. It is also their
pleasure to serve you.
